JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League brought home plenty of hardware from the NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships, with Marian taking the National Title and the league combining for 36 NAIA All-American awards, four individual national championships and a pair of top-five team finishes.
Marian led the way, with Katie Woods claiming a national title in the 1,000-meters and running on MU's title-winning distance-medley relay to help the Knights pile up 15 All-American honors. Other titles came from Indiana Wesleyan's 4x800-meter relay and from Taylor's Jaynie Halterman in the 5,000-meters.
The CL also swept the top honors from the meet, with MU's Katie Wise-Butler being named the NAIA National Coach of the Year, Marian's Woods being selected as the meet's Most Valuable Performer and Taylor's Jaynie Halterman being honored as the meet's Outstanding Performer.
The Crossroads League had six teams place in the team standings, highlighted by Marian's team championship and Indiana Wesleyan's fourth-place finish.
