Grace's Camron Jones Nabs Medalist Title at CL Championship
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Camron Jones finished a historic tournament for Grace's men's golf team on Tuesday.
Jones claimed the medalist honors at the 2025 Crossroads League Championship, the first Lancer to earn league medalist in recent memory.
Jones golfed a clean third round with the pressure of the individual title on the line. He bogeyed just once in the round, finding two birdies and 15 pars to card a one-under 71.
After beginning the day in second place, Jones finished alone atop the individual leaderboard and won the tournament by two strokes.
Jones (71-69-71) finished with a three-round total of 211, setting a team record for best score ever in the league championships.
Grace impressed as a team, grabbing fourth place out of nine. The Lancers' third-round total of 297 was the third-best tally of the day on Tuesday.
Camron Jones will continue his season as an automatic qualifier to the 2025 NAIA National Championships, by virtue of winning the league tournament. Jones will compete for the second straight year in the national tournament, the first Grace representative at NAIAs since the 1993 team qualified.
The NAIA National Championships will be held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., from May 20-23.
