JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league's top individual performances from January 1 through 7. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week's winners.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Maddie Ryman, Grace
Ryman scored at least 30 points in each of Grace's two victories on the week, averaging 31.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals, while shooting 52.9 percent from the field. Ryman's 62 points moved her over 2,000 for her career as GC's all-time leading scorer.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Drew Lutz, Bethel
Lutz led Bethel past Saint Francis and MVNU in a pair of high-scoring affairs. The senior guard averaged 32.0 points per game and shot 51.2 percent, as the Pilots reached 96 points in each contest. Lutz also posted 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per win.
