JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league's top individual performances from December 11 through 17. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week's winners.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Alana Nelson, Spring Arbor
Nelson set a new SAU program record with 47 points to lead the RV Cougars to an 86-74 win over Lourdes. Nelson sank 19-of-29 shots and grabbed 16 boards and three steals in the lone Spring Arbor contest of the week.

Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Brody Whitaker, Marian
Whitaker turned in a pair of games with at least 25 points and eight rebounds to lead the Knights to two victories. The junior guard posted 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per outing to go with a 53.1-percent clip from the floor.
